Public Policy Program Director

Missouri KidsFirst is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, solution-oriented individual to fill the role of Public Policy Program Director.

Missouri KidsFirst is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower adults to protect children from abuse. Our mission is consistent with our core belief that only adults can protect children, and it is every adult’s responsibility to do so. Our work falls into roughly three broad categories: education, prevention, and advocacy.

The Public Policy Program Director position is responsible for providing leadership for our public policy and advocacy work, working collaboratively with agency staff, board, and member child advocacy centers. Building and maintaining professional relationships with elected policy makers, government agencies and other constituencies and stakeholders are essential roles of this position.

Logistics: The official domicile for this position is Jefferson City, Missouri. This position frequently requires long work days and irregular hours. In-state travel will be required with travel expenses reimbursed by the agency.

Compensation: The Public Policy Program Director is a full-time exempt position funded by grants and unrestricted dollars. The salary range is $50,000 to $70,000 commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid holidays, retirement and paid personal time off.
