Child Sexual Abuse Trial School is planned and coordinated by the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services in partnership with Missouri KidsFirst. This trial school will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and labs, where attendees will get firsthand experience participating in trial procedure based on the facts of an actual child sexual abuse case. This course requires the active participation of attendees, including case materials to read prior to arrival at the trial school, as well as preparing for labs on the attendee’s own time the evenings of the trial school.
Applications are now open! Prosecutors, Forensic Interviewers, Children’s Division Investigators, Law Enforcement, and Medical Professionals (Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, SANE) involved with child sexual abuse trials in Missouri are encouraged to apply.
The Trial School will start on Tuesday, September 19th at 9:00 a.m. and end on Thursday, September 21st, at 4:00 p.m.
The Children’s Justice Act Task Force has generously provided funding for a majority of this year’s trial school.
